South Africa-based operator MTN has been denied a 3G licence by Swazi operator and regulator the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC).
MTN had indicated last year that it was progressing in its efforts to securing a 3G licence, which it hoped to own by the end of 2010.
MTN Swaziland is owned by the SPTC (51%), MTN (30%) and the Swaziland Empowerment group (19%).
