Telcordia, the US developer of mobile, broadband and enterprise software, has been put up for sale by its private equity owners, according to media reports.
The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Providence Equity Partners and Warburg Pincus have brought in Credit Suisse to organise the sale process.
The company is expected to sell for between US$1-1.5bn.
The newspaper cited an unnamed source close to the deal saying that while an IPO was being considered, a sale was most likely.
Telcordia did not reply to questions before the press deadline.
