Norwegian incumbent Telenor has announced the shifting of CEOs across divisions in Europe and Asia to grant them experience of different markets and cultures.
The CEOs of Telenor Montenegro and Telenor Hungary, Kaaren Hilsen and Christopher Laska respectively, will swap roles on 18 January.
Jon Eddy Abdullah, CEO of Telenor Pakistan, has been appointed CEO of the group’s Thai division, effective from 1 March.
Abdullah will be replacing Tore Johnsen, who has been appointed as CEO of Telenor’s Bangladeshi division, where he will replace Oddvar Hesjedal, who is set to be assigned a senior management position at the parent group in due course.
Jon Fredrik Baksaas, CEO of Telenor Group, said: “Gaining experience from different markets and cultures is essential in Telenor’s leadership philosophy and to the Telenor Way of doing business.
“I am certain that these appointments will be beneficial both to the business units as well as to the new CEOs.”
