Spanish incumbent Telefonica has appointed Trevor Healy, CEO of US-based IP-telephony division Jajah, to the newly-created role of CIO of Telefonica Europe, effective 1 March.
Steve Alder, currently general manager for UK and group devices at Telefonica Europe, will replace Healy at Jajah.
Matthew Key, chairman and CEO of Telefonica Europe, said: “The appointment of a CIO for Telefonica Europe is a critical step in seizing the many opportunities afforded by today’s Digital Revolution and I am delighted that Trevor has accepted this challenge.”
