Costa Rican telecoms regulator Sutel has announced that the two bids for spectrum in the 850MHz, 1,800MHz and 2,100MHz bands will unveiled on Friday.
Carlos Slim’s Claro and Spain’s Telefonica were the only companies to submit bids when the spectrum auction closed on December 14.
The envelopes containing their bids will be opened for the first time in a public ceremony tomorrow.
To qualify for each band, bidders must pay at least US$70m for a 15-year licence.
