A raft of board appointments have been announced by Greek mobile operator Wind Hellas’ bondholders, which have established a new holding company to take over the group.
Senior telecoms executive Antonio Viana-Baptista has been appointed chairman of Largo, which completed its acquisition of Wind Hellas today.
Nassos Zarkalis, Wind Hellas’ CEO since late 2009, will become CEO of Largo.
Joining them on the board will be Jon Weber, described by Largo as having significant experience with restructured businesses, Roy Campbell, who has holds international corporate investing experience, and mobile communications entrepreneur and investor Bruno Ducharme
“On behalf of the shareholders I would like to thank the outgoing members of the company’s board of directors, in particular chairman Socrates Kominakis, for his valuable contribution and commitment to the company’s interests as well as his unstinting work to guide the company throughout this difficult period,” said Viana-Baptista.
