UK IPTV JV YouView is bolstering its technology and operations teams following the resignation of its CTO, Anthony Rose, who will continue in an advisory role.
According to the group, which counts UK telcos BT and TalkTalk as partners, Rose is leaving his post as part of the venture’s plan to step up its development for launch next year.
His move is followed by the appointment of Youssef Tuma, who joins as head of technical delivery. Tuma was previously a senior executive in consultancy Accenture’s UK media, entertainment and cable industry division.
Andrew Burdess, former director of operations at incumbent BT’s television division, has been appointed director of operations for YouView.
“These changes are about strengthening our technology and operations teams to ensure we deliver YouView in good time and in great shape,” said CEO Richard Halton.
“We are ensuring that in key project management areas such as technology and operations we are expanding capacity to ensure we meet the demands of this exciting project.”
