Global Village Telecom, a Brazilian fixed line and broadband operator, has launched its operations in Valparaiso de Goias. GVT is 99.17% owned by French conglomerate Vivendi, which increased its stake from 58% earlier this year.
GVT said it had invested R$3m (US$1.7m) to rollout its services across the municipality.
