Slim’s spokesperson told Bloomberg that the billionaire has taken up to 2% stake in the money manager, which holds shares in America Movil, his Latin American mobile operator.
This adds to other US holdings including retailer Saks Fifth Avenue and the New York Times media group.
Black Rock declined to comment.
