Alternative operators Tele2 Sweden and Telenor Sweden have announced the commercial launch of 4G in four Swedish cities as they prepare to accelerate their LTE rollout in 2011.
The LTE mobile broadband services are being provided through the companies’ network JV Net4Mobility.
According to Tele2, 99% of its 4G services will be available to 99% of Sweden’s population by the end of 2012.
“More and more people cut fixed telephony at home to become mobile,” said Niclas Palmstierna, CEO of Tele2 Sweden, in a statement.
