Polish power engineering company PGE has launched the sale of its telecoms unit Exatel, Reuters reports quoting sources.
The information memoranda for the sale of PGE’s 95.075% stake were reportedly sent last week.
Netia, Poland’s largest alternative operator, has been rumoured to be eyeing smaller rivals such as Exatel as well as Telefonia Dialog, the telecoms arm of another state-owned utility company, copper miner KGHM. Earlier this year, Netia said it had PLN1bn (E250m) available for acquisitions.
PwC has been reported to be adviser on the sale of Exatel.
PGE was not immediately available for comment.
