British mobile operator Vodafone has bought two telecom expense management (TEM) companies.
The company said it paid US$6.9m for Australia-based Quickcomm and US$2.8m for US firm TnT Expense Management, but declined to give the total deal value.
Vodafone Global Enterprise, which manages the communications needs of Vodafone’s largest multinational customers, said in a statement that it “already has a strong track record in expense management” and these two acquisitions will “propel Vodafone into being a leading TEM company for multinational organisations.”
“These acquisitions will benefit our customers by providing even greater visibility and control of their fixed and mobile spend and this, in turn, will further the business case for multinationals to adopt unified communications solutions,” added Nick Jeffery, CEO of Vodafone Global Enterprise.
Quickcomm is expected to continue providing support for its products but will become a fully integrated part of the Vodafone Telecoms Management solution.
No external advisers were mentioned on that transaction.
