Two senior partners from investment bank Nomura, Jameel Akhrass and Nabil F. Lahham, will lead this development.
Akhrass served as Nomura’s vice chairman of the MENA region, while Lahham was a managing director in Nomura’s MENA Investment Banking group.
Hesham Ali, who has served in the group’s asset management division for three years, will head up the new regional asset management division.
Joseph Perella, chairman and CEO of Perella Weinberg, said: “This is an important development in our firm’s continuing commitment to an exceedingly important region of the world, and we are enthusiastic about the growth prospects for both our advisory and asset management businesses.”
