Bids for three 3G licences and one GSM licence in Cape Verde are due on December 7.
Portugal Telecom’s CV Telecom and T+, a subsidiary of the Teylium group, currently offer GSM services in the country.
Digicel, a company present in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific, could be interested in a third combined GSM/3G licence. Earlier this year, it won one of the five BWA licences offered in the 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz band, and it has no data-only operations anywhere else.
Bids will be opened on December 8.
