With more than 35 years in the industry, Desch has led global satellite communications provider Iridium Communications since 2006, and was an early pioneer in the global wireless industry.

Long a pioneer of the internet of things (IoT), Desch previously told Connectivity Business that IoT was responsible for “over half of our subscribers and a major part of our business results” and that the technology was “only going to increase, as it’s one of the largest potential markets for satellite services.”
