Verizon has carried out a series on top level in-house executive moves for both Verizon Communications and for its Verizon Wireless joint venture with Vodafone.
Lowell McAdam will move from his role as president and CEO of Verizon Wireless to become president and COO of Verizon Communications. In his place will step Daniel Mead who is currently executive vice president and chief operating officer of the US mobile operator.
John Stratton will subsequently become Verizon Wireless’ new COO having formerly been the company’s chief marketing officer.
Verizon Wireless will also have a new chief financial officer in the form of Fran Shammo. Shammo is currently the president of Verizon Telecom and Business and has held that position since 2009. He was formerly president of Verizon Business and prior to that, the senior vice president and CFO for Verizon Business.
