The Canadian Radio, Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has announced that Canadians have until 20th August to respond to its public consultation exercise on the future of the country’s telecom sector.
The consultation is being held online and asks citizens what services should be included in their regular telephone subscriptions. The survey also tries to canvass opinion on what the CRTC’s role should be in the future and whether wireless telecoms should replace landlines in the country. It also tries to establish what Canadians use the internet for.
All submissions will be posted online after the deadline and the CRTC will be holding public hearings where people will be able to express their views in October.
