German operator Ewe has dismissed its CEO Matthias Bruckmann (pictured) after a KPMG audit uncovered alleged wrongdoing. The Ewe Supervisory Board, which voted unanimously on the decision, ordered that the company’s accounts be audited based on several allegations, including a fraudulent €253,000 (US$268,000) donation to a foundation.
