Cable operator UPC Switzerland, a unit of Liberty Global, has bought a cable network in the Swiss canton of Schwyz from cooperative Genossenschaft der Gemeinschafts Antennenanlage Euthal (GGAE). The sale, which includes GGAE’s subscribers in the city of Euthal, was agreed today, but it is retroactive from 1 January. The cooperative, which was established in 1973, will now be dissolved.
