Poland’s state-owned railways company Polskie Koleje Pastwowe (PKP) is looking for an adviser to sell its telecoms operator Telekomunikacja Kolejowa (TK Telekom), Dow Jones reports quoting local daily Rzeczpospolita.
PKP spokesperson Lukasz Kurpiewski confirmed the reports said that the sale would not happen this year, but maybe next year.
The operator would reportedly be worth around PLN270m (E68m).
TK Telekom provides internet, voice and data transmission services for the railways and other clients. The Treasury of State holds a 61.97% stake in the operator and PKP the remaining 38.03% stake.
