Swedish telco Telia has announced it has received a proposed settlement of US$1.4bn from US and Dutch authorities in relation to alleged bribery in Uzbekistan, where it has operations. The fine would be one of the largest applied under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, according to a Financial Times report.
