VimpelCom has accepted the resignation of the CEO of its Russian mobile unit Beeline, with immediate effect “following today’s news regarding Mikhail Slobodin and his prior employer, T Plus”, the company said in a statement. Slobodin (pictured), who became CEO in October 2013, is wanted for questioning in connection with a corruption investigation at T Plus.
