Nigerian telecoms operator Globacom has won a licence to operate in Gambia according to media reports.
The company, which earlier this year was awarded a licence in Senegal, already operates in Nigeria, Benin, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.
Globacom, a subsidiary of billionaire Adenuga’s MA Group, is Nigeria’s largest mobile operator by subscribers. It was set up in 2003.
