A decision on strike action by staff at UK incumbent BT is due today, with strike ballots to be counted by the end of the day.
UK media reports indicated union expectations that a strike was the likely scenario. Some 50,000 staff at the operator – about half of its total workforce – are members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU).
If a majority of workers vote for the strike, action could start on July 12.
