Reliance Communications (RCom) is considering acquiring cable TV firm Digicable, according to local reports.
India’s second largest mobile operator, which has been at the centre of relentless M&A speculation in recent weeks, could look to secure Digicable in a cashless deal that would combine RCom ‘s DTH subsidiary Big TV with Digicable.
According to The Economic Times, private equity firm Ashmore would also take a stake in the combined entity, which would be 60% owned by RCom.
