French incumbent Orange (EPA:ORA) has appointed Adela Guedon (pictured) as the new CFO of its operations in Romania, effective from 1 May 2016.
She will replace Diego Martinez Lopez, who will take on the chief finance role at Orange Spain. Orange said Lopez has been instrumental in coordinating major projects in Romania, including securing partnerships for the maintenance of the network and contracts for accessing the company’s fixed broadband infrastructure.
In Spain, he will succeed Federico Colom, who will subsequently assume the position of executive vice president and head of group controlling, based in Paris and reporting to Ramon Fernandez, deputy CEO, responsible for finance and strategy for the Orange Group.
A Romanian-French national, Guedon began her career at Orange Romania in 1997, starting as a junior accountant before becoming corporate finance director and, in doing so, the youngest member of the company’s executive committee.
From 2007, she served as the CFO of Orange Moldova where she “played a significant role in…implementing the strategy for the acquisition and successful integration of an internet service provider”, the French incumbent said in a statement.
She is currently controller of Orange’s European division.
This announcement comes shortly after Orange made multiple changes to its senior management teams in Central and Eastern Europe.
Gervais Pellissier, deputy CEO and executive director for Europe, said the changes reinforce “synergies between our operations across Europe”.
