US based Motorola announced that John R. Bucher has been named corporate VP of strategy for Motorola’s Mobile Devices and Home Business.
Bucher’s role will be to build on the plans already in place to increase the firm’s smartphone market share and capitalise on Motorola’s positioning as a portfolio supplier of broadband wireless, fibre and cable solutions and services to both consumer and business customers.
Bucher has in the past worked as an equity research analyst and held roles with wireless carriers which are now part of US based telco Verizon Wireless. He will report to Sanjay Jha, Motorola’s co-CEO and the CEO of the Mobile Devices and Home Business unit.
