US-based consultancy Goldin Associates has snapped up satellite, telecoms and media communications advisory firm Summit Ridge Group (SRG) for an undisclosed sum.
The deal sees SRG founder and president Armand Musey join Goldin to lead its enhanced communications practice, as it vows to deepen its advisory capabilities in the sector.
While at SRG, Musey advised satellite operators including SES and GE Capital, as well as Intelsat investors before and after its IPO last year. He also helped carry out investor due diligence on Mexico’s Satmex, which like GE Capital’s satellite assets is now part of French satellite operator Eutelsat.
Goldin meanwhile was trustee for Loral Space’s bankruptcy more than a decade ago when it was a satellite manufacturer.
Musey said: “I am delighted to connect the extensive industry expertise of SRG with Goldin Associates, an esteemed platform with a deep bench of talented financial professionals and an impressive record in communications.”
