UK-based communications infrastructure firm Arqiva has appointed David Crawford as the managing director of its satellite business.
Crawford replaces Barrie Woolston who has been the interim managing director for the past six months and will remain commercial director for satellite.
Prior to joining Arqiva, Crawford was a divisional director at business outsourcing group Capita. He has been at Capita for a year and half having formerly worked as the CEO of the CableCo business at Cable & Wireless. Crawford was with C&W for almost 6 years.
Commenting on the appointment, John Cresswell, CEO of Arqiva said: “The satellite operation at Arqiva is in an exciting place with our recent expansion into Singapore and Hong Kong, together with taking on Turner’s play-out. We’ve been looking for the right person who can continue to steer the growth of the business and David brings with him years of senior strategic experience across key global markets to achieve this.”
