Jean-Loïc Galle has been named the new president and CEO of satellite manufacturer Thales Alenia Space. Galle succeeds Reynald Seznec, who has moved to parent company Thales Group where he has taken up the role of senior vice president for Zone B (covering parts of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America).
Galle has been with Thales in various capacities since 1996. Most recently, he served as SVP of Air Operations as well as being a member of the Thales executive committee.
Prior to this role, Galle headed the Surface Radar unit from 2008 to 2010 and was previously CEO of ThalesRaytheonSystems France, the French subsidiary of the Thales-Raytheon joint venture.
Seznec has been SVP of space since May 2008 having succeeded Pascale Sourisse. Seznec originally joined the group in 2000 as senior EVP with its Air Defence business.
Thales Alenia Space is a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Finmeccanica (33%).
