Omar Jaffrey has joined New York-based boutique investment bank TAP Advisors as a vice chairman. Jaffrey joins TAP from UBS where he was managing director of global telecom, media and technology investment banking as well as co-head of the Americas special situations group.
During his tenure at UBS, Jaffrey worked on a number of high profile satellite deals including Loral’s acquisition of Telesat, Liberty Media’s investment in SiriusXM, the US$1.2bn of financing raised by O3b Networks and the US$2.5bn of capital raised by LightSquared.
Prior to UBS, Jaffrey held similar positions at Bear Stearns, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
