Energia Logistics (ELUS), the California-based affiliate of Russian manufacturer Energia, announced on January 25, that it had appointed Kirk Pysher as its new COO.
Pysher has over 25 years of space experience. He has previously worked for Boeing, where he had been assigned as VP and chief systems engineer of the Sea Launch Company.
ELUS is a newly formed organisation that will be responsible for the satellite integration and launch operations for the Sea Launch Zenit-3SL missions.
The president of Sea Launch, Kjell Karlsen, said: “Kirk’s extensive space background and global operations experience, combined with his consummate Zenit-3SL technical expertise, make him the ideal candidate to successfully fulfil Sea Launch AG’s customer launch obligations from contract signature through post-launch reporting.”
