Greek fixed-line operator Forthnet has announced that Michael Ramakis is to become CFO, taking over from Georgios Mantzoros, who is now deputy executive finance director.
Mantzoros originally took on the role in March 2013, succeeding Evangelos Raptis.
The appointment comes following takeover interest, with Deutsche Telekom-backed incumbent OTE registering an interest in its DTH business Nova, while Vodafone/Wind last summer placed a non-binding joint offer for the whole company worth €1.70 to €1.90 per share. Since then, Forthnet’s stock has slumped €0.60 per share. There has been no word since December, when Vodafone and Wind said they were undertaking due diligence and hoped to make an announcement in Q1 2015.
Forthnet last said it was still considering both offers.
