US-based Melody Wireless Infrastructure has acquired 908 locations from Wireless Capital Partners for an undisclosed amount.
The company, which is an affiliate of New York-based investment firm Melody Capital Partners, expects the deal to expand its portfolio to over 2,000 locations.
Melody Capital Partners managing partner Omar Jaffrey said: “We are excited by this new acquisition as Melody is now one of the largest independent owners of wireless infrastructure locations in the United States.
“This acquisition will allow us to offer combined locations and better meet our customers’ needs for wireless networks and communication services.”
A Melody Capital Partners spokesperson said that no external advisors worked on the deal.
The company has also confirmed the appointment of David Bacino as its new president. He was previously responsible for American Tower’s western region.
Bacino, who has been working in the telecoms industry for 22 years, also held senior roles at Powerwave Technologies, TerreStar Networks and Nextel Communications.
The company claims to be one of the largest independent owners of wireless mobile sites in the US, offering tower locations, structures and rooftops to wireless providers for network deployment.
