Zayo, a US fibre network operator, has completed the acquisition of Kansas-based IdeaTek Systems for US$52m in a cash-on-hand deal.
The deal enables Zayo to add 1,800 route miles to its network in Kansas, including a dense metro footprint in Wichita.
IdeaTek will retain its residential and small-business divisions, and will continue to operate under the IdeaTek Telecom brand.
Telecom Asset Management advised the target on the sale.
Zayo’s existing network currently covers more than 81,500 route miles across the US and Europe.
