Venezuela has restarted a tender for 4G-suitable spectrum which was suspended in January.
Telecoms regulator Conatel said the commission managing the process will begin activities this week.
The auction will be for two frequency blocks in the 1,710-2,170 MHz band and four blocks in the 2,500-2,690 MHz band. Licences will be valid for up to 15 years, subject to certain conditions.
Venezuela’s three mobile network operators are Cantv’s Movilnet, Telefonica’s Movistar and Telvenco’s Digitel GSM.
