Regis Turrini, Vivendi’s senior executive vice president for M&A, is leaving the media conglomerate to join the French State Holdings Agency as commissioner.
Turrini first started at Vivendi in 2003 and previously held the role of senior executive vice president for strategy and development.
Commenting on his departure, the group said Turrini “led a number of transactions in line with Vivendi’s new integrated media and content strategy”.
Vivendi has slowly been loosening its ties with the telecoms sector after selling incumbent Maroc Telecom earlier this year and agreeing to part with mobile operator SFR in a €13.5bn deal with Altice and its unit Numericable.
The French conglomerate, which mainly focuses on content and media, still owns Brazilian triple-play provider GVT.
