Taiwan’s largest operator Chunghwa Telecom has picked Bo Yung Chen to become its new CFO and senior executive vice president as of 15 May.
He replaces Shu Yeh, who stepped down early this year upon completion of a four-year secondment from the National Taiwan University. President Mu-Piao Shih served as interim CFO.
Chen most recently served as vice president and CFO of TSMC Solid State Lighting and TSMC Solar in Taiwan. From 1996 to 2002, he was a vice president at the corporate finance division of Citibank.
In late January, Chunghwa also appointed a new CEO, Rick Tsai, who succeeded Yen-Sung Lee. Lee retired after 40 years at the organisation.
Tsai also came from TSMC Solar and TSMC Solid State Lighting, where he was CEO.
