Norwegian operator Telenor has named Michael Foley as the new CEO of Telenor Pakistan.
Foley has experience in the telecoms and retail sectors and currently serves as chief commercial officer of the Canadian state lottery, Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
He will join Telenor Pakistan on 1 July, replacing Lars Christian Iuel, who will take up a senior management position within the group in Norway, Telenor said without providing further details.
Foley’s appointment comes as Telenor Pakistan, the second-largest operator in the country, was recently awarded a 3G licence in a long-awaited auction.
