Ukraine’s Ukrtelecom has named Yuriy Kurmaz, a former director of corporate affairs at rival operator Astelit (Life), as its new CEO.
Kurmaz replaces Igor Kravets, who now heads up the company’s business support department.
Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov’s Systems Capital Management (SCM) acquired a 92.79% stake in Ukrtelecom last October for an estimated US$1.3bn. Ukrtelecom has since replaced its supervisory and management boards and appointed Alexander Barinov, formerly CEO of Astelit, as chairman.
Ukrtlecom provides fixed, internet and mobile services.
