Kuwait-based Zain Group has appointed Basel Manasrah as CEO of Zain South Sudan, replacing Wassim Mansour, who reverts to his position as adviser to the group CEO.
Zain Group CEO Scott Gegenheimer said the new CEO would focus more on commercial and customer centric activities and lead the business into the next phase of its development.
Manasrah has held several senior positions in the Zain Group, including COO of Zain Jordan and commercial consultant for Zain Bahrain prior to the launch of commercial operations.
Zain is the largest mobile operator in South Sudan, which is home to another four players.
