Taiwanese telco Chunghwa Telecom has appointed Rick Tsai as chairman and CEO of the company with immediate effect, replacing Yen-Sung Lee, who has retired after 40 years at the organisation.

Taiwanese telco Chunghwa Telecom has appointed Rick Tsai as chairman and CEO of the company with immediate effect, replacing Yen-Sung Lee, who has retired after 40 years at the organisation.
CFO and executive vice president Shu Yeh will also step down on 1 February. President Mu-Piao Shih will serve as interim CFO.
Tsai most recently served as chairman and CEO of TSMC Solar and TSMC Solid State Lighting, both subsidiaries of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
Chunghwa Telecom is Taiwan’s largest mobile operator.
