Kuwait’s Zain Group has appointed Emre Gurkan as its group chief strategy and business development officer.
Gurkan will start in the role on 1 February, leaving his position as chief strategy and synergy officer at Oger Telecom, TelecomFinance has learned.
Gurkan currently sits on the board of Cyberia, a regional ISP based in Lebanon, and has worked for McKinsey and AT Kearney in the past.
He has more than 17 years experience with global telecommunications operators in corporate strategy, strategic planning, corporate finance and M&A, marketing, pricing, strategic transformation as well as ICT strategy design & implementation, according to Oger’s website.
