Global Telecom Holding (GTH), formerly known as Orascom Telecom Holding, has appointed Hassan Helmy as its new CFO, replacing Khalid Ellaicy, whose departure was announced a few weeks ago.
Helmy was previously the CFO of Telecom Egypt, a position that he left early this year. According to a GTH statement, he held several other financial and audit roles and is currently a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in the UK and a fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors.
Helmy will report to Ahmed Abou Doma, the CEO of the Egypt-based telecoms group.
