Greek telco Wind Hellas has exercised a call option to raise its stake in local ISP and DTH player Forthnet from 5.2% to 32.3%.
Privately-held Wind agreed to acquire the 27.04% holding in Forthnet from Zesmero in July.
The transaction comes ahead of a share capital increase, which aims to raise €29m by selling 97 million new common shares. The offering is open to investors from today until 24 December.
Forthnet offers internet services and pay-TV. Its DTH subsidiary has exclusive rights to show top-flight Greek football.
Wind Hellas is the third largest Greek mobile operator and also offers fixed-line telephony and internet.
