Ceske Radiokomunikace is in talks with all three Czech mobile operators about buying some of their infrastructure assets, according to CEO Michal Cupa.
Czech publication E15 Euro cited Cupa as saying that offers are on the table.
The Czech Republic’s three mobile operators are Telefonica CR, T-Mobile CR and Vodafone CR. They all won 4G spectrum in a recent auction.
Ceske Radiokomunikace, which provides television, radio, telecoms and ICT services, is owned Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Estate Assets Europe. It has a 39.23% stake in T-Mobile Czech Republic, in which Deutsche Telekom is the major shareholder.
Ceske Radiokomunikace could not be reached for comment before the press deadline.
The Czech market has seen some activity recently besides the 4G auction. Earlier this month, Czech billionaire Petr Kellner’s PPF investment group agreed to acquire a 65.9% stake in Telefonica Czech Republic from the Spanish incumbent for Kc63.6bn (US$3.32bn).
