A government spokesperson said an announcement about the decision and possible implications would not be made before market close.
Meanwhile a company insider told TelecomFinance that Belgacom’s Board of Directors would convene tomorrow (Saturday) morning if the government indeed decides to remove Bellens from his post.
According to reports CFO Ray Stewart or EVP Dominique Leroy, who currently heads the telcos consumer unit, could replace Bellens.
