Stockholm-listed telco Tele2 has announced that Gunther Vogelpoel has stepped down as CEO of its Dutch subsidiary for “personal reasons”.

Stockholm-listed telco Tele2 has announced that Gunther Vogelpoel has stepped down as CEO of its Dutch subsidiary for “personal reasons”.
He has been replaced on a temporary basis by Ernst Jan van Rooijen, CFO of Tele2 Netherlands.
Vogelpoel had been with the telco for 14 years, and was CEO of the Dutch unit as well as EVP of the wider Tele2 group since early 2011.
Tele2 CEO Mats Granryd said: “We have greatly appreciated Gunther’s contributions to the company’s success during his years with Tele2. His extensive experience and understanding of the telecom industry has been of great value to the business and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
