Vivendi’s CFO Philippe Capron is set to leave the media and telecoms conglomerate after six years in the role and take up the same post at utilities giant Veolia, four sources familiar with the situation told Reuters.
Both Vivendi and Veolia declined to comment on the report.
It has been suggested that Capron would depart Vivendi before it completes a spinoff or IPO of its French mobile unit SFR, which could happen early next year.
Earlier this month, Societe Generale and Citigroup were appointed lead advisers on the potential IPO. This would be part of a wider reorganisation for Vivendi, which is looking to dispose of its telcos to focus on its media assets.
