The Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Competition will investigate a claim against BH Telecom and Telekom Srpske, according to Telegeography.
The probe was initiated following a complaint by Sarajevo-based alternative operator Akt.online, which reportedly argued that it had difficulties in agreeing interconnection terms with both BH Telecom and Telekom Srpske. Although agreements have been reached, Akt said they violated competition rules. The plaintiff also said that it had not been offered the use of leased line services.
Akt reportedly claimed that because of these difficulties it was forced to cancel agreements with a number of international operators, costing it BAM4.93m (E2.5m).
